Jonathan Floyd Clapp

June 12, 1980 — October 1, 2025

Jonathan Clapp, age 45, of Liberty, North Carolina, passed away at home on October 1st, surrounded by the love of his family.

Jonathan was a devoted husband, father, son, and grandfather whose warm personality and bright smile could light up any room. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, and their children: Madalynn and her husband Ryan, Hannah, and Greyson. Jonathan was a proud "Papa" to his granddaughter, Baylor, who brought him immeasurable joy and laughter.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Wanda Morris, his father and stepmother, Dexter and Vickie Clapp, and his parents-in-law, Mike and Janice Moore. There are many more notable family members, survived by Jon, who will miss him dearly.

Jonathan had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved. His laughter, kindness, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He found happiness in life's simple treasures - sharing time with family, supporting those he cared about, and spreading joy through his easy smile and warm heart.

Though his time on Earth was far too short, Jonathan's love and devotion live on through the family and friends who will carry his memory forever. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and a reminder to cherish every moment.

A celebration of Jonathan's life will be held at Brick Reformed Church on October 12th at 3pm. The church is located at 3699 Brick Church Rd Burlington NC 27215.
