Joseph Henry Dick, 75, of 4203 Shepherd Drive passed away on Friday July, 31, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Durham. He was born in Ottway, Ohio to the late Theodore Anthony and Florence Cattee Dick. Joe was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was very involved in the music ministry. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over forty years, having served as a Past Grand Knight, Past State Deputy, and Former District Master. Joe was the founder and director of the Knights of Columbus Chorale and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, LeRae Struewing Dick; sons, Steven Joseph Dick of Palm Bay, FL, and Kevin Patrick Dick of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Xavier Dick, and Michael Anthony Dick; and one sister, Sylvia Breininger. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Francis Dick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Very Rev. Robert Benko, OFM Conv., V.F. and Rev. Paul Gabriel, OFM Conv. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and at other times at the home. A graveside service will be held in Melbourne Florida.
