Joy Guest

Burlington, NC Joy McCarty Guest. 28, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Asheville. She was the daughter of Larry Allan McCarty and Robin Eydmann McCarty. Joy was a member of Baynes Baptist Church where her father served as pastor for many years. Joy was a beautiful woman with an incredible smile. She truly lit up any room that she walked into. Joy loved her son, Patrick with all her heart. Our hearts are broken because she is gone from us. But we remember the day she gave her heart to Jesus. We believe her Lord has taken her home. She is survived by her husband, Chip Guest and her son, Patrick Guest of the home; step son, Bobby Guest of St. Augustine, Florida; her parents and a brother, Danny McCarty of Cary, NC; paternal grandmother, Betty McCarty of St. Augustine, Florida. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Baynes Baptist Church by Rev. Sergio Lopes and the burial will follow in the church cemetery.
