Joyce Ann Lewis Morris, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Liberty Commons. She was born in Surry County on July 30, 1939 to the late John Dewitt Lewis, Jr. and Louise Magdalene Joyce Lewis and was the wife of 26 years to the late Eddie Lee Morris.
Joyce was a longtime member of Johnson’s Grove Baptist Church in South Fulton, TN where she faithfully taught Sunday School and was responsible for printing the church bulletins. She later was a faithful member of Hunter Hills Baptist Church in Greensboro.

She enjoyed Saturday outings, shopping and having lunch. Joyce loved the water and took many family trips to Kentucky Lake. She and her late husband, Eddie enjoyed the lake so much that he named their boat the “Joyce Ann”.
Joyce cared deeply for others. She had an outgoing personality, a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. She cherished every moment spent with friends and family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Renee Beck (Mike), Linda Diane Matthews, Kimberly Louise Davis (Harold); grandchildren, William Crowder (Caroline), Jason Crowder, Michael Crowder, Isaac Thomas (Brandon), Seth Thomas, Devin Smith, Beth Smith, Cassie Smith, Emily Ray, Amanda Prince; brother, John Dwight Lewis (Julie); sisters, Hilda Mae Andrews, Peggy Jo Levens (Woody), Deloris Savanna May, Jackie Willard (Chuck) and daughter-in-law, Lori Crowder.
