Judy Ann Hines

Judy Ann Hines, 85, of Burlington, NC went to be with the lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. She passed at Alamance Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Edinburg, VA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-3 at the church.

Born in Edinburg at Columbia Furnace, she was the daughter of John Glenn Hines and Hilda Catherine Funkhouser Hines, both deceased. Judy was retired from Lemco Mills, Burlington, NC. She also was a part-time caregiver on the weekends. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Burlington, NC. She enjoyed time with family, friends and doing volunteer work. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a love for animals especially her cat, “Cookie”.

Survivors include two sons, Leonard K. Hines (Lynn) and William H. Hines (Howie) both of Burlington, NC; two grandsons, Austin B. Hines and Dylan B. Hines; two sisters, Lucy Isley, of Burlington, NC and Sherrill Cline of Woodstock, VA and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Reedy, Marion Keel and Vera Hines; three brothers, John Hines Jr., Cecil Hines and Charles Hines and two dear friends, Virginia Fausel and Shelby McPhail.

She will always be loved, cherished and forever in our hearts.
