Judy Tart Johnson

Judy Tart Johnson “Mimi” passed away on April 7, 2025 in Burlington, North Carolina. Born in Dunn, NC on March 18th, 1947, Mimi was known for her love of family, her warmth and generosity, and the loving spirit she brought into the world.

At times, Judy spent the days reading and walking on the beach. She loved wine and great conversation with friends, family and neighbors. She was a vibrant traditional southern lady with a fervor for gardening and a great sense of humor. Her love was unyielding and her wisdom was abundant.

Passionate about family, Judy was a beloved Mom to “Sonny” (Lynn) and Robert (Stacey), and cherished by her grandchildren: Loften (Caroline), Eddie, Danielle, and Drew. She was a great grandmother to Addie Rae. Preceding her in death were her parents, Loften and Rachel Whittenton Tart.

The family will be honoring Judy at the gravesite, Greenwood Cemetery in Dunn, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, plant a tree or bush so that life will flourish while we honor her memory.
