Judy Stenberg

November 14, 1949 — March 2, 2026

Judy Ann Stenberg 76, of Gibsonville, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Peak Resources Alamance.

Born on November 14, 1949, in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John and Odessa Bobak of Nicktown, Pennsylvania. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother and a treasured sister. She loved to garden and getting her hands dirty planting flowers. She also enjoyed going for walks and being outdoors.

Her two grandchildren, Connor and Liam, were an important part of her life, and she took genuine interest in the things they enjoyed. Known to them as “Grandma Judy,” she was always ready to show up and cheer them on when playing sports or school events. She enjoyed shopping and long conversations with friends. She valued the people in her life and was grateful to the family and friends who surrounded her.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 31 years, Richard Stenberg; son, Eric and wife, Wendy (NC); sisters, Regina (OH), Connie and husband Michael (PA), Nancy (PA), Ann and husband Bill (PA), and Barbara and husband Jim (PA); brothers, Paul and wife Rose Ann (NC), Robert (GA), Ken and wife Karen (PA), and David and wife Regina (PA). She was preceded in death by her parents (PA) and sister Irene (VA).

Though Judy has left this world, the love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in our hearts.

A burial service and a celebration of her life will be held on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made of a memorial tree on the Lowe Funeral Home website or a monetary donation to Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church of Nicktown, PA.
