Julia Katherine "Judy" Pinter, age 86, of Burlington passed away at 12:15 AM Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Edgewood Place. A native of Gary, W. VA, she was the daughter of the late John and Rosa Kiss Pinter. She was employed by Western Electric, retired from AT&T after 22 years of service and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Survivors include her sisters, Hazel Pinter Blick late Albert of Courtland, VA and Rose Pinter Semiklose late William of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Billie Semiklose Gann and husband Clyde of McLeansville, Eve Semiklose Sullivan and husband Jim of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Carolyn Semiklose Black and husband John of Manteo, Vanessa Blick and Vance Blick of Courtland, VA and Vanessa Pinter; great nephews, Will and Ben Gann of McLeansville; great niece, Casey Lynn Black of Nags Head, NC; great great niece, Jordan Black of Colonial Heights, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Pinter and Margaret Pinter; brothers, Alex Pinter and Joe Pinter; and a great nephew, William Paul "Bo" Black. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 10, 2008 in the St. Jude's Catholic Church in Franklin, VA by Father Charles Saglio. Ms. Pinter will lie in state in the church in Franklin from 1-2 PM Monday. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Courtland, VA. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Alamance County, 711 Hermitage Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
