Julie Vehaun

Burlington Julie Elizabeth Campbell Vehaun, 79, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Surry County to the late Fred Albert and Neda Cane Campbell and was married to the late Herschel Julian Vehaun. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by her sons, Donald Lee Edwards of Albuquerque, NM, Dannie W. Edwards of Nashville, TN and Fred Herbert Vehaun of Burlington; grandchildren, Brandi Davis, Daniel Edwards, Derek Edwards, Toni Edwards and Stephanie Rodriguez and a sister, Mae Ricks of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Jesse Campbell and a sister, Katie Slaughter. The graveside will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Pine Hill Cemetery by Pastor Larry Redding. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to their adopted daughter, Nikki Williams who was caregiver to Mrs. Vehaun for five years until the Good Lord came and wrapped his loving arms around her and took her to heaven.
