Karen Lee Holt Lunsford, age 60, a native of Alamance County, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, after fighting a battle with cancer.. She passed away peacefully at Peak Resources of Alamance, leaving behind a legacy rich with love, dedication, and cherished memories.
Karen was a woman whose warmth and spirit touched all who knew her. Alongside her beloved husband of 36 years, Mark Creech Lunsford, who preceded her in death in 2020, she devoted her talents and heart to C & L Radiator, Inc., where she served gracefully as the office manager. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her passion for life’s more vibrant pursuits. An avid music lover, a collector of sailboats, a gifted gardener, and a magnificent cook, Karen’s home was often filled with the joyful sounds of music and the delicious aromas of a meal made with love.
Family was at the core of Karen’s life. She is survived by her daughter, Morgan Lunsford, her son, Holt Lunsford; her granddaughter, Delilah Comer; her mother, Linda Lee Lanning Price; her brother, Mark Holt/Sherry Holt; her sisters, Kristi /Todd Comer, Donna Holt /Jamie Roberts , Dianne/Walt Sellew, Melanie/Chad McKenzie; her step-mother Linda Rowley Holt and many other family members and friends, all who continue to hold Karen’s memory close in her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark and her father, Donald Hughes Holt.
