Kenny Lester Foster, 66, of 1416 Overbrook Road died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. He was the husband of Gwenette Taylor Foster and the son of the late Lester and Alice Petty Foster. Kenny retired from the Burlington Housing Authority and was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Burlington Assembly of God Church. He loved to volunteer at the caring kitchen and enjoyed many mission trips with the church. He is survived by his wife Gwenette Foster of the home, sons; Andrew Perry Foster and his wife Wendy of Elon, Clayborn Ross Foster and wife Jennifer of Burlington, six grandchildren; Sam, Jessi, Rian, Will, Brittany, and Cameron; sisters, Hazel Allison , Jeanette Chriscoe , Betty Troup and husband Bruce all of Burlington , brother, Roy Foster of Graham. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Ruth Clapp and Gilda McLeod, brothers; Barney , Tom , Harvey , and Arthur Foster. The funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Burlington Assembly of God by Pastor Howard Thompson, burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and at other times at the home of Jeanette Chriscoe 2005 S. Mebane St. Burlington and at the home of his son Andy Foster. In Honor of Kenny the family would like for all the men who shared in fellowship during the mission trips to sit as Honorary Pallbearers.
