Kevin Andrew Gerringer

It is with heavy hearts, we announce Kevin Andrew Gerringer found peace on March 24, 2026. Though his time here on earth was cut way too short, Kevin filled each day with purpose and joy. Family and friends will remember him for his generosity, thoughtfulness, quick wit that had everyone laughing out loud, infectious crooked smile, loyalty and integrity.

Kevin was a dedicated microscope tech at Associated Microscope where he worked for 20 plus years with his employers and coworkers that he viewed as extended family. He had a love for the mountains that was fostered by his family’s cabin in Boone, NC that his Paw Paw Hulon and father built. Kevin loved trips to the beach where he loved to capture the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and taking pictures of the night sky on beach walks. His dream was to buy a sailboat one day and sail off into the sunset. Much of his childhood was spent at his grandparents’ homes where so many fond memories were made with his cousins. His love for his children was unwavering and unconditional. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend and has left a mark on every life he touched that will never be forgotten.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Jacque Rene Gerringer of Burlington; his daughters, Kelsey Rene Gerringer of Burlington, Kailyn Gerringer and Alybeth Gerringer both of Alabama; his step daughters, Logan Johnson and husband, Bailey of Pleasant Garden and Ava Marie Speight of Burlington; his step sons Landon Speight of Raleigh and Jaydon Speight of Burlington; his grandchildren, Emerald, Eli and Evan Johnson; his father Rance Hulon Gerringer of Burlington; his sister, Ashley Gerringer of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Overman Gerringer.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 2PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kevin Bunn. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be a private graveside service for the family.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery Fund to help maintain the cemetery grounds.
