Kimber Elise Howard Long, born on September 24, 1987, in Wake County, Left this world for her heaven on March 20, 2026, at her residence, leaving behind a legacy punctuated by love, joy, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith. Kimber was a beacon of light to those who knew her—a fun-loving, outgoing spirit with a heart as expansive as the ocean she loved to sit by during countless visits to the beach. Kimber had a strong and personal relationship with her Lord and Savior.

From an early age, Kimber was known for her down-to-earth nature, her selfless disposition, and her innate ability to encourage those around her with a smile that never seemed to fade. She embraced life wholeheartedly, finding immense joy in simple pleasures such as reading and gathering with friends, all while nurturing her deep love for God at Calvary Baptist Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence, enriching her spirit and guiding her steps.

Kimber’s role as a great mother was her proudest accomplishment. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her love unreservedly into her husband, Andrew Long; her beloved daughter, Adalynn Long; and her dear son, Boone Long. The bonds she fostered extended and intertwined with those of her beloved parents, Randy Dale Howard and Paula Ann Hill Howard, her brothers Joshua (Kristi) Howard and Wyatt (Caitlin) Howard, as well as her cherished grandparents David and Mary Ann Howell, and her paternal grandfather, Lonnie Howard.

Her loving nature was also evident in her relationships with her in-laws, Joe and Eva Long, and her sister-in-law, Joanne Hassanpour (Kris), grandmother in law Ernestine Long, among many nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness and vibrant spirit. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Howard and grandfather in law Joe T. Long. Family was not merely a word to Kimber; it was a living, breathing testament to loyalty and love, a legacy of togetherness she upheld with grace and warmth.

Kimber’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with moments of laughter, quiet strength, and the unwavering belief in the power of hope and encouragement. Her presence was a gift—always gentle, always radiant—that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to walk alongside her.
