Larry Jones

Burlington, NC Larry Edward Jones, age 71, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of Martha Jane Jones who survives. Larry retired from Glen Raven Mills, Altamahaw Plant and he was a member of CrossWay Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Larry was survived by his wife of the home; son, Ricky Jones of Burlington, step sons, Billy Markham, Jr. and his wife, Sheila of Haw River and Steven Darryl Markham of Haw River; step grandson, Brandon Markham of Burlington; brother, Doug Jones and his wife, Doris of Haw River. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillary Douglas and Edna Honeycutt Jones and a brother, Donnie Jones. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Garry Yeatts and the entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
