Lashley Madison Wrightenberry

Lashley Madison Wrightenberry, 81, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2026.

Lash was born on June 10, 1944 to Clarence and Lillie Wrightenberry. Lash worked at Western Electric, Lowes, subcontracted houses and retired from Lucent Technologies, but his heart always belonged to Lowes. He had a caring heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Above all else, family was everything to him. Lash deeply loved his family and considered the time spent with them among life’s greatest blessings. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and valued the relationships he built throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa Brown Wrightenberry; his daughter, Anita Orr; son, Jake Wrightenberry and wife Jessica Spence; and two grandsons, Dalton and Dillon Orr ; also his constant companions, Hank and Cash. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Charles and Ronald Lee Wrightenberry.

A celebration of Lash’s life will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
