Lelia Fayne

Chapel Hill, NC Lelia Knick Fayne, age 96 of Britthaven of Chapel Hill, NC formerly of 1054 Queen Ann Street in Burlington died on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 6:50 a.m. after a period of declining health. She was born on July 26, 1910 in Rockbridge County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late John and Bessie Knick. Lelia retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. She was survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jack Fayne and his wife, Joann of Pikeville, Joe Fayne and his wife, Vickie of Pikeville and Hedrick Fayne of Graham; daughters and son-in-law, Jane Pennell and her husband, Lynn of Conover and Bobbie Davis of Hickory; 10 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren; sister, Lori Elliott of Danville, Virginia and a half sister, Celia Dishman of Danville, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hedrick Odell Fayne, Sr.; parents; grandsons, Joel and Reuben Fayne. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bob Stepheson and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
