Linda Cox

Elon-Linda Hinshaw Cox, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 51years to Jerry Wayne Cox who survives.
Linda retired after 28 years with Kayser-Roth Hosiery. She was a member of Pleasant View Assembly of God where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, Mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of the home; daughter, Angela Dawn Cox McClain and husband, Art of Elon; grandsons, Marcus Dove and Jordon Dove; sister, Dionne Satterfield and husband, Donald of Burlington and a brother, Floyd Ivey Hinshaw, Jr. and wife, Linda of Burlington; brother-in-law, Mark Tomb of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd "Shorty" Ivey Hinshaw, Sr. and Elizabeth "Sis" Andrews Hinshaw; brother, James A. Hinshaw and his wife, Vickie; sister, Peggy H. Tomb.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Linda during her illness.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Gary Loftis and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to service from 12:30-1:45 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home.
