Linda Gail Isley

Linda Gail Isley, 71, of Burlington passed away October 12, 2023. Linda was born in Alamance County to Wilson B. Isley and Greta Warren Isley, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Myrtle Isley. After graduating from Southern Alamance High School Linda worked for BellSouth and retired after 30 years of service. She later worked for Academy Sports for 5 years. Linda is a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and dedicated many years to the MYF. Reading her Bible daily, gardening, working jigsaw puzzles, dancing, feeding the birds and growing beautiful Iris gave her much joy. Linda had a great love for animals, especially cats. Her most recent cat companion, Henri, filled her heart with love and comfort. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and looked forward to watching the games. Her family was her pride and joy. She was proud of their accomplishments and always gave them her support.

Linda is survived by her son, Bruce, wife Lisa, and granddaughter Tristen of Burlington, sister Joyce Sexton and husband Jim of Burlington, sister Laurie Thompson of Snow Camp, stepsister Elizabeth Murray of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Lowe Funeral Home on October 17, 2023, from 12:45 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. followed by a service in the Lowe Chapel at 2 P.M. Committal follows the service at Alamance Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for their support and loving care of Linda and her family, especially her Care Givers Alethia, April, and others who were all caring and concerned for Linda’s wellbeing.
