Sue Miller Garner Dickey
Linda Sue Miller Garner Dickey, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the Hospice Home. Sue passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her family. She was born on October 23, 1941 in Rowan County, NC to the late Willie Floyd Miller and Myrtle Lenora Sykes Miller.
Sue was a retired registered nurse and in her earlier years she was the owner and operator of Sue’s Beauty Salon in Haw River. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Lisa G. Leathers, Robin G. Murphy and husband Tim, Sandy G. Sanders and husband Tim, Chuck Garner, and Lori G. Boone and husband Neil; 14 Grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Sybil Neese Miller, and several nieces and nephews. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Julie Ann Garner; her husband, L.D. Dickey; brothers, Charles Miller and Bill Miller, and sister-in-law, June Miller.
The graveside service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Mike Smith. The family will receive friends following the service.
