Lona Goodson

Lona Mae Goodson, 81, passed away Sunday, April 05, 2015 at the Hospice Home after six months of failing health. She was born in Rockingham County to the late Ray Arthur Goodson and the late Thelma Paschal Goodson. Lona was a member of Jimmy Swaggert Media Church. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Ann Hitt; son, Eddie Howard; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Medlin and Lee Ellen Walls; half-brother, Robert Goodson. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Danny "Tucker" Howard and Curtis Howard and a brother, Wilbert Paschal. The graveside service will be held 4:00pm Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Don Overman. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30pm Tuesday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
