Lorena Darling

Oak Island, NC Mrs. Lorena Fuqua Darling, age 97, formerly of Burlington, died on Saturday, May 20, 2006 at her home on Oak Island. Lorena was a native of Caswell County and the wife of the late Lee A. Darling and the last surviving child of Sidney T. Fuqua and Nora E. Rudd, both deceased of Leasburg. She was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ in Burlington. Survivors include one son, Dennis A. Darling of Charleston, South Carolina; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one daughter, Joan Lee Darling Spoon and several brothers and sisters. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Reverend Phillip Myers, pastor of the First Reformed United Church of Christ.
