Lucille Bowland Love

Lucille Bowland Love, 98, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 15, 2023. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Sally Perry Bowland and Lon W. Bowland and the wife of 57 years to the late Thomas W. Love. Lucille was preceded in death by her siblings, Gladys Bowland, Grace Pritchett, Loy Bowland and Banks Bowland. She was a member of Peoples Memorial Christian Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

Lucille is survived by her four children, Patricia Parsons (George) of Burlington, Edward Love of Gastonia, NC, James Love (Ruthy), of Lynchburg, VA, Richard Love (Phyllis) of Burlington, Six Grandchildren, Joey Parsons (Angela), Johnathan Parsons (Chloe), David Parsons (Leslie), Christopher Love (Katherine), Brandon Love (Jennifer), Haley Love and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 12:45-1:45 Friday, May, 19, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home, with the service following at 2:00. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Tim Stevens will officiate.
