Lynn Brooks

Lynn Rascoe Brooks, 64, peacefully gained her Heavenly wings and joined the Lord on Saturday, August 14th, following an illness she had fought for close to 40 years.  She was surrounded by family.

Lynn met the love of her life and soulmate, Robert “Bob” W. Brooks Jr., 37 years ago.  They were a true team and enjoyed life’s adventures together.

Love makes a family and Lynn certainly cherished hers.  Mother to Alisa Tindall, Erica Albright (Johnny), Jaime Terry (Jay), J.R. Brooks (Candace) and Gillian Vaughn (Michael).  Grandmother to Coty Rogers (John), Dillon Albright, Austin Albright, Dalton Albright, Cassidy Tindall, Avery Vaughn, Ellis Terry, Keeley Vaughn, Brooks Vaughn and Milly Terry.  Great Grandmother to Jaxson Rogers and Luca Rogers.  Sister of Rick Rascoe and many nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. William Hillary Rascoe (Edna Goodson) and daughter Alisa Diane Brooks Tindall.

A native of Burlington, NC, Lynn graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1975.  She spent her adult life in Mebane, NC and moved to Punta Gorda Isles, FL in 2019.

Lynn had a zest for life and a large personality.  Her passion was her family, and she showed her love in big ways.  She was our family coordinator, photographer, chef, party planner, resident expert, meteorologist and doctor.

Lynn was also talented in crochet and stained glass.  Her work was exquisite, and it brought her so much joy to share it with her family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Wayne Miller.  Interment will follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 Saturday, prior to the service in the Chapel.
