Malcum Lee Johnny Strouth, 57, of 1648 White Kennel Rd. lot 63, passed away Tuesday June 27, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Stella Reaves Strouth, with whom he shared thirty-nine years of marriage. He was the son of the late John W. and Mary Hardy Strouth. Johnny was the youngest of seventeen children. He was formerly active with city softball and the sponsor of the Double S men and womens teams. He had worked for Iomega Corporation and attended Brightwood Christian Church and Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and Poppie who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home, daughters; Melissa Strouth Moody and her husband Jimmy of Graham, Tracie Strouth Simpson and her husband Todd of Graham, Cassie Rudder Strouth of the home, sons; Toney L. Randall Strouth and his wife Lisa of Burlington, Ernest Scott Strouth and his wife Tammy of Burlington, nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, sisters; Margaret Jean Hutchins of Monroe, NC, Peggy Tolbert of Bunn Level, Janice Annata Wall of Burlington, Betty Earlene Lee of Clinton, Goldie Louise Murphy of Burlington, Doris Ann Strouth of Burlington, brothers; William Adrian Strouth of Raleigh, Gene Autry Strouth of Sierra Vista, AZ, John Curtis Strouth of Clinton. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Marie Helen Fasciola, Lillian Evelyn Tolbert, Hattie Thelma Strouth, brothers; Lewis Clinton Strouth, Louie Leonard Strouth, Ervin Rogers Strouth and Alvin Howard Strouth. The funeral will be held 3:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bruce Church and Rev. Ken Simpson. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of a daughter Tracie Simpson, 1406 Old Coach Rd., Graham.
