Mamie Blalock

Mrs. Mamie Seagroves Blalock, age 94, of 2554 Hyde St., passed away Friday April 3, 2009 at the Hospice Home. A native of Wake County, she was the wife of the late George Dewey Blalock and daughter of the late Joseph David and Mary Senter Seagroves. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Miss Cynthia Ann Blalock of the home and several nieces and nephews, including her special great niece, Diane Goodrich of Davidsonville, MD. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday April 7, 2009 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stephen Joyner. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery at 1621 Duke University Road in Durham, NC. Mrs. Blalock will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Monday and at other times at the home.
