Manuel Escobar

Manuel J. Escobar, 47, of Greensboro, passed away Thursday September 18, 2008 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. A native of Guatemala, he was born to Arnulfo Escobar and Rosa Garcia, both deceased. Survivors include five daughters: Stephanie Ellis of High Point, Samantha Escobar of Emerald Isle, Jessica Escobar of Emerald Isle, Jennifer Bryant of Denver, Colorado, and Erika Escobar of Elon; one son: Mario "Wesley" Mercer of Elon; grandchildren: Sophia Ellis, Kyla Ellis, Caleb Sanford, Santana Bryant, and Jayden Bryant; sisters: Ruth Valdez, Siria Lopez, Gilma Barrera, Judith Escobar, Patricia Escobar, and Rina Escobar; and a brother, Oscar Escobar. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, and at other times at the home of the children, 2807 Springfield Drive in Elon, NC.
