Margie Travis

Margie Ann Travis, 66, of Burlington passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at White Oak Manor. She was born in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Isaac Jones "Ike" and Roxie Bailey Travis. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her sister, Hope McKinney and husband Ira of Burlington; brother, Kenneth Travis of Elon and nieces, Tabatha, Christy, April and Jennifer. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Travis. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Kerr's Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Norman Harris with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Sunday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her sister, Hope McKinney, 1760 Vinson Rd., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
