Margy Disner Newman passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Twin Lakes Memory Care.

She was born on June 22, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Sarah and Israel Disner. Margy married William “Bill” Newman of Clifton, NJ on May 27, 1951. Bill and Margy met while working at RCA in Camden, NJ. They were married for over 60 years. They lived for many years in Upper Saddle River, NJ, where they raised their children and created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Later, Margy and Bill moved to Sanford, NC, and eventually settled at Twin Lakes, where they enjoyed their later years together.

Margy had a creative spirit and especially loved sewing, spending many happy hours making crafts and handmade items for her family and friends. She was also an avid bowler, golfer, and bridge player. Margy enjoyed the friendships and camaraderie these activities brought into her life, and she approached them all with enthusiasm and her signature quick wit.

Margy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a devout Lutheran.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Newman, and she is survived by her daughter, Nancy Ellen Newman of Matawan, NJ; son, Kenneth John Newman of Thousand Oaks, CA; and grandchildren, Courtney, Chelsea and Kelly.
