Marie Overman

Marie Evans Overman, age 83 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Jesse Vernell Overman. Marie was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Overman of the home; sons, Glenn Overman, James Overman, Robert Overman and wife, Beverly and Ray Overman; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Posey Daniel and Ollie Smith Evans; grandson, Buddy and a sister, Sadie Johnson and brothers, James H. Evans and Buddy Evans. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stephen Hall and Rev. Stacy Hall and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home at other times at the home.
