Martha Odom Moss

Martha Odom Moss, 98, of Elon NC, passed away on August 20, 2026 at AuthoraCare Hospice Home, surrounded with love. Martha was born in Lowell, NC on January 20, 1928. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend. Martha will be remembered for her kind and generous heart. She was a woman of integrity and highly regarded by all who knew her.
Martha grew up in Burlington, NC and attended the Burlington City School System.

 She retired after working for over 30 years at Burlington Industries. After retirement, she decided to rejoin the work force and retired again from Alamance Regional Medical Center at age 83. Martha was known for her strong faith, strong work ethic, kindness, spunky sense of humor and dedication.

Outside of work and daily responsibilities, Martha enjoyed gardening, dancing and cooking. Her banana pudding was the best! She had a special heart for children and was always the first to help someone in need. She drove fast and enjoyed being on the go. Martha cherished time with family and found joy in helping others. She leaves behind a legacy of strong faith.

Martha is survived by Martha Leach Moss (James Clint Moss– deceased), Mike Harding Moss (Nancy), Myra Moss Brown (Dan), David Odom Moss (Cheryl), Robyn Moss Rimell (Stuart), Daniel Lee Moss (Missy), Mark Alan Moss (Kendra), along with 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents Mr. Hugh W. Odom and Martha Forrester Odom and 8 siblings, husband James Harden Moss and son James Clint Moss.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel, Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Elon. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home.
