Martin Murph

Martin Richard Murph, 67, of 6822 Silver Spring Rd., died Monday, May 21, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several months of failing health. A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late John Willliam Murph and the late Ruby Daughtry Murph. He worked on the family farm and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Murph is survived by three sisters, Mary David Ledford , Daisy Mae Murph, and Hazel Hilton, all of Whittsett; one brother, Woodrow Murph of Whittsett; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nancy Hudson; and three brothers, J.W. Murph, David Murph and Robert Murph. The funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bill Skenes. Interment will follow at Brick Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery.
