Obituary

Mary Ann Lubno Minor, 84, passed away on September 9, 2026, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 1, 1942, in Norfolk, Virginia, and has resided in Burlington NC the last 45 years. 

Mary Ann will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother whose life was centered on her home and family. She enjoyed cooking and raising her three children and found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life. She also loved being outdoors gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and being around her animals. These pleasures reflected her gentle spirit and the love she gave so freely. 

She is survived by her children, Nancy Minor, Robert Minor, Jr. and his wife, Desiree, Frank Minor and his wife, Kristen. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Lily Minor, Ariel Minor, Luca Minor, and Owen Minor, who brought her great joy. Mary Ann is also survived by her brother, Edward “Eddie” Lubno, and his wife, Carol and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Minor Sr.; her parents, Anton and Amelia Geron Lubno and her brothers, Chester Lubno, Michael “Mikey” Lubno, and Paul Lubno. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1620 Hanford Road, Graham, NC 27253, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family would also like to Thank all of the staff at White Oak Manor in Burlington for all of their kindness and compassion caring for Maryann these last three years.
