Mary "Marti" Haynes

Mary "Marti" Haynes passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born June 28, 1947 to the late Capt. E.E. Haynes and Doris Turner Haynes.

For over 30 years, Marti was an award-winning realtor in Roanoke, VA. She lost the love of her life in 2022 after 32 years of marriage to Russell Ottaway, a British G.E. Engineer. Together, they enjoyed many countries and adventures. Marti graduated in 1965 from Patrick Henry High School and in 1968 from Roanoke College.

She is survived by her sister, Debra Haynes Carter and a niece, Turner Haynes Carter of Charlotte, NC.

No services will be held at this time.
