Mary McBane Ellington Myers

Mary McBane Ellington Myers, 90, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  A native of Kokomo, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Allen Reese and Mary Stout McBane.  

 Mary was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she attended for many years.  She was known to have never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone she could.  She was a hard worker and enjoyed taking care of all of her animals; including chickens, dogs and cats.  

 Mary is survived by her children; Delania Lefever, Fred Allen Ellington and Matt Eldred, grandchildren; Joshua Ellington, Elias Ellington, John Ellington, David Eldred, Julia Church and Jeffrey Eldred, siblings; Floyd McBane, John McBane, Evelyn Braxton, Dewey McBane and Treva Newlin.  She was preceded in death by her husband; Paschal Ellington, granddaughters; Lauren Ballard and Lindsay Myers, parents; Allen and Mary McBane and her siblings; Charles McBane, Scott McBane and James McBane.  

 A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held at 1:00 on Friday, May 31, 2024 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church by Pastor Travis Bodine with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 prior to the service at the church.
