Gibsonville - Mary Elizabeth Troxler Wade, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Moses Cone Hospital after two weeks of declining health. She was a native of Alamance County and a loving wife for 63 years to the late Arthur R. Wade and the daughter to the late Robert Banks and Daisy Smithey Troxler. Mrs. Wade worked for May Hosiery Mills until marrying. She then became a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and a member of the choir. In years past she served the church as an alternate accompanist. She loved singing and playing the piano. Her hobby and pastime was making quilts and working with her flowers and in her garden. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Harold T. Wade and his wife Jean of Gibsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Daisy Raisanen, Kathy Griffin and Louise Joyner and her husband Larry all of Gibsonville and Jessie Lee Saul of Raleigh; sister and brother-in-law, Lora Lee Wade and her husband Robert Pete of Gibsonville; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alice Lewis, Estelle Troxler, Lona Mae Wicker, Kate McMillan, Irene Howereton, brothers, Ira, Thomas, B.C., Wilbert, Robert, Howard, Paul, Willie and Edward Troxler. The funeral will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday at Shiloh United Methodist Church by Rev. R. Richard Dawson, O.S.L. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home, 4454 Jug House Road, Gibsonville, NC.
