Matthew Allen Page, 39, of Whitsett, NC passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on February 13, 1987, Matt had a vivacious and uplifting presence, and his energy had a way of boosting those around him. He was truly a light in the lives of everyone who knew him, known for his infectious smile, incredible singing voice, and magnetic personality.
Matt was a passionate musician, a devoted father, a loving husband, and an all-around wonderful family man. Playing guitar and singing was a gift that he loved to share far and wide. Music was his solace and a method of connecting, whether it was with other musicians, or performing solo at several venues across NC and VA. Matt was also on the worship team at Integrity Church, and you could genuinely feel his faith in Jesus Christ as he sang on the church stage. He was an avid UNC sports fan (GO HEELS!), and a stellar athlete in all sports, especially golf. Growing up, he played golf in the Junior Nationals, was a member of the UNC-Pembroke golf team and won the National Putt-Putt Championship. Most importantly, and above all other talents and hobbies, he loved spending time with his family.
Matt is survived by his beautiful daughter and light of his life, Kylie Page, and his loving and devoted wife, Karlene O’Shea Page. Matt and Karlene only shared 16 days of marriage together before his untimely passing, but the love they had could sustain a lifetime. He also leaves behind his incredible parents, Mike and Tammy Page, and his loyal sister, Morgan (Kris) Bowen. Additionally, he is survived by his grandmothers, Willie Mae Page and Ruth Rudd, nieces and nephews Kinley and Kaison Bowen, Madelyn, Elaina and Jack LaRusso, Joseph and Jeremiah Hilton, many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and his new extended family, all of whom he cherished and held dear.
Matt is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Rudd and Bill Page.
The family will receive visitors at Lowe Funeral Home (2205 S. Church St., Burlington, NC) on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4pm – 7pm. A celebration of life will be held at Lowe Funeral Home on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1pm. As for attire, nothing fancy, nothing black, just Matt! The graveside service to follow will be private to the family.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to contribute to Kylie’s future, please direct donations to Matt’s wife, Karlene. Furthermore, Matt was passionate about mentoring young athletes and encouraging every child on sports teams. Donations can also be made to the City of Burlington Recreation and Parks Department “Play It Forward” Scholarship fund.
Matt will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
