Mildred Petry

Mildred Heffner Petry, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2020.  She was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA to the late Alvin and Vesta Delong Heffner and was married for 63 years to John F. Petry who survives.  She graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School and Reading Hospital School of Nursing.  Mildred was a registered nurse working for 5 years in Laconia, NH and 28 years at Alamance County Hospital in Burlington.  She attended Beacon Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, John; sons, Jeff Petry (Jennifer) and their children, Samuel and April, Doug Petry (Susan) and their daughter, Elizabeth; daughter, Cheryl Norris (Todd) and their children, Jessica, Kristen, Cody, Zie, Caleb, Jonah, Casey (Tyler); two great grandsons and a sister, Anna Gaydos.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Heffner.

The funeral service and interment will be private.  There will be no visitation.
