Mollie Acker

Mollie Murray Acker, 49, of 5924 Mt. Zion Rd. died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at her home. She was the wife of John Eugene Acker and Daughter of James "Jim" Henry Murray and the late Mary Lorraine Adams Murray. She worked twenty-six years for Burlington Industries and currently worked for Precision Fabrics and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Southern Alamance High School and then Alamance Community College with a degree in Microcomputer Systems Technology. Mollie had a great love for her four beautiful great Danes and Arabian horses. She was a member of the Arabian Horse Association. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and daughter who's family was her whole world. Her daughter was her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband John Acker; daughter, Laura Michelle Mann; father and Step Mother, Jim and Anna George Murray, brothers, David Murray of FL and Alan Murray of Graham. She was preceded in death by her mother and half brother Steve Bear. The funeral service will be held Thursday, 3:00pm December 7, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Powell Sykes. Burial will follow at Historic Providence Christian Church Cemetery . The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at her fathers home 2903 Hickory Hill Rd., Burlington.
