Nancy Andrews

Burlington, NC Nancy Elizabeth Turner Andrews, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of 58 years to Raymond C. Andrews. Nancy was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was an avid Duke fan and Nascar fan. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Nancy never met a stranger and she loved helping others. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Raymond C. Andrews of the home; daughters, Janice Wray and her husband, Garry of Burlington and Nell Hand and her husband, William "Dee" of Stokesdale; grandchildren, Heather Ed Stephenson, Melissa Brown and Joshua Wray and a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Stephenson; her sister, Hazel Chriscoe of Reidsville; special lifelong friend, Nancy "Nickie" Chatman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Wright and Gertrude Brown Turner; sisters, Lucy Lunsford and Nell Bell; brothers, William and James Turner. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N.
