Nancy Darlene Watkins Perkins

   Nancy retired from Carolina Biological after 25 years as an artist. She was a longtime member of Altamahaw Baptist Church, member of the Adult married Sunday School Class, former nursery worker and also an Elementary Sunday School Teacher for many years. Nancy enjoyed beach trips with her family, Crocheting and making various crafts.  She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

   Survivors include her husband, Charles Winston Perkins, Sr. of the home; sons, Todd Perkins and Rev. Charles “Chuck” Perkins, Jr. and wife, Tracy all of Burlington; daughter, Teri Pettigrew and husband, Kevin of Burlington; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marjorie Tuggle and a brother, Lonnis “Lonnie” Gentry Watkins, Jr. and a granddaughter, Macy Pettigrew.

   A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00pm at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Rev. Walter Jones, Rev. Norman Fargis and Rev. Charles “Chuck” Perkins, Jr. The graveside service will follow at Camp Springs UMC Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Smith, officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service at the church.
