Nancy Danieley Leonard, 84, passed away on September 24, 2026, at Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County, Nancy was the daughter of the late Asa and Cora Mae Madren Danieley and was married for over 38 years to Harrell Dean Leonard who passed away in 2010.

Nancy will be remembered as a devoted woman whose life was grounded in family, steady work, and the simple joys that made a house feel like home. She worked as a book keeper in the medical field for more than 51 years, bringing dedication and faithfulness to her profession over the course of a long career.

At the center of Nancy’s life was her family. She was very successful at raising her daughter and grandchildren with the help of her family, and that spirit of togetherness remained with her throughout the years. She loved reading and found happiness in quiet moments, and she especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds from her porch. She liked sightseeing, treasured spending time with her grandchildren, and loved living next door to them, a closeness that brought daily comfort and joy. Her great-grandchildren were the greatest joys of her life, and the love she had for them was deep and abiding.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy Walker, and Amy’s husband, Doug; her grandchildren, Hannah Hall and her husband, Justin, and Andy Walker; and her great-grandchildren, Selah Hall and J.J. Hall. She is also survived by her sister, Becky Danieley Stowe; her brother, Donnie Danieley, and his wife, Sherrion; her nephew, Jason Danieley; her niece, Jennifer Moore, and Jennifer’s husband, David; and her niece, Carol Doxey.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harrell Dean Leonard, her parents, Asa Danieley and Cora Mae Madren Danieley, her brother-in-law, Lehi Stowe; and her nieces and nephew, Charles Clark, Cora Lawson, and Sylvia Williams.

A graveside service to celebrate Nancy’s life will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home.
