Nancy Weatherford

Burlington Nancy L. Weatherford Nancy Law Weatherford, age 96 of 1866 NC 62 North, passed away at Hospice Home Wednesday November 29, 2006. A native of Henry County, VA, she was wife of the late Claude Thomas Weatherford and daughter of the late David and Lelia Mitchell Law. She was a member of City Lake Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her daughter, Shelby W. Cheek of Burlington; sons, James E. Weatherford of Elon and Alvis B. Weatherford and wife Emma of Graham; grandchildren, Tammy C. Hinshaw and husband Kerry of Clayton, Teresa C. Leavens and husband Ross of Cary, Michael T. Cheek and wife Tammy of Burlington and Brandy W. Diana and husband Andrew of Graham; great grandchildren, Michael Cheek, Jr., Matthew Cheek of Burlington; Isaac Leavens and Elliot Leavens of Cary and Shaylin Diana of Graham. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Hazel C. Weatherford; brothers, Taft and Flunoy Law and sister, Virgie Agnew; half sisters, Lucy Wright, Mae Compton and Maude Barrow; half brothers, Cliff Hoskins and Irving Hoskins. A private graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Carolina Biblical Gardens in Jamestown by Chaplain Libby Inman. Mrs. Weatherford will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the cemetery for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 7-8 PM Thursday and at other times at her residence.
