Nancy Lorene Wicker

Nancy Lorene Harrington Wicker, 86, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.  She was born on February 26, 1935 in Alamance County to the late Jesse Monroe Harrington and Sallie Pat Terry Harrington and was married for over 63 years to Max B. Wicker who survives.

Nancy graduated from Walter Williams High School in 1953, was a member of Bellemont United Methodist Church where she joined the Reid Brown Sunday School Class and retired as an Assistant Manager from Southern Bell after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her husband: Max Wicker; son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Lisa Wicker; Nieces: Lorene Neese, Joanne Griffith and Eileene Davis; grand niece and nephew: Lindsay Denard and Craig Turner and a special extended family; Mike, Billie and Joshua Wilson.  Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; Brother: William H. Harrington and a sister: Naomi Neese and a niece: Jeannine Walker.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Farron Duncan and Rev. Don Pegg with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday, June 22,2021 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
