Nannie Dix "Onie" Dodson, age 75, of 1251 Springwood Church Rd. passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Hospice Home. A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of the late Billy Ray Dodson and daughter of the late Lynwood and Nannie Belle Jefferson Dix. She was a retired employee of Cone Mills, Minneola Plant after 25 years of service and later operated a wallpaper business for 22 years and remodeled houses. Her favorite pastime was cooking for other people and the more, the merrier. She was a charter member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Graham. Survivors include her sisters; Ann Burke the late Jack Burke, Ruby King the late Walter King and Pearl Dix the late William Ball all of Graham; brothers, Junior Dix and wife Barbara and Earl Dix and wife Judy all of Graham; Grandchildren; Brandy D. Corfios and husband Rocky, Jennifer Dodson, Billy Ray "Mack" Dodson, III, Lynn Kernodle and Dennis Kernodle; great grandchildren, Sierra Williams, Kalea Dodson, Alyssa Bradsher, Cameron Johnson, Roxane Corfios and Summer Kernodle. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Billy Ray Dodson, Jr. and grandchildren Bradley Ray Dodson and Gracie Kernodle; sister, Kathleen Dix and brothers, Floyd, James and Hernam Dee Dix. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, February 20, 2012 at Tabernacle Baptist Church located at 515 N. Marshall Street in Graham by Rev. Norman Fargis and Rev. Gary Loftis. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Dodson will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 3-5pm on Sunday and at her home at other times. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
