Neil Stanford Jinkins

Neil Stanford Jinkins, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4th in Burlington surrounded by his family. He was born December 14, 1942 in Oklahoma, and spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Texas. Neil was a graduate of Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas and received his college degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas in 1966. Neil was the husband to the late Mary Maas Jinkins who died in July 2025, she was his true love and life partner. They had just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary when she passed away. Neil was a loving and devoted father to Leianne Jinkins Bowers.

He spent his career as an electrical engineer, starting work with Bell Labs in 1966, and moving to Burlington in 1976, later retiring in 2001.

Neil is survived by his loving and daughter, Leianne and her husband Michael, and various family members.

The funeral mass to celebrate the life of Neil will be held Monday, November 10, 2025 at 11:00am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Fr. Peter Tremblay, OFM Conv. The family will receive friends and visitors prior to the service on Monday from 10:00am to 10:45am at the church.

Neil's entombment will be private at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum.
