Nell Barker Gordon
Nell Gray Barker Gordon, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2023. She was born on June 29, 1935 in Alamance County to the late Rufus Leon Barker and Bessie Mae Pryor, and was married to the late Odis Earl Gordon who died in 2009.
Nell retired after 28 years in the electrical field and was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed antiques, painting, shopping, and eating out with her family and friends.
She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Kendall Gordon and Phillip “Phil” Gordon and wife Minkyong “Mindy”; a grandson, Houston Dean Gordon and wife Monica; her extended family, Lynn Green Morgan; sisters-in-law, Wanda Barker and Glenda Barker; and several nieces and nephews. Nell was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Donald Barker and Pete Barker and a sister, Joan Richardson.
