Nellie Terrell

Mrs. Nellie Lee Windham Terrell, 82, formerly of Southern High School Rd., died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Alamance Health Care after several months of failing health. A native of Troy, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James Oscar Windham and the late Fannie Viola Leatherwood Windham and was married to the late David Washington Terrell . She was a homemaker and was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River. Mrs. Terrell is survived by two daughters, Barbara Timmons and her husband, Ray, of Aiken, S.C. and Cathy Qualls and her husband, Ronnie, of Elon; two sons John David Terrell and his wife Donna ,James Windham Terrell and his wife Terri Lynn both of Burlington; three grandchildren, Lindsey Grey Terrell Jeffries, Timothy Timmons, and Sarah Elizabeth Terrell. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister,Evie Parks; and two brothers, Grady Oscar Windham and M. Howard Windham. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church by the Rev. Kenneth Wilson and the Rev. Walter Jones. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of the son, James Terrell, 1147 Southern High School Rd.
