Nicholas Sansone

Nicholas Lawren Sansone, age 14, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at UNC Hospital after a battle with Leukemia.

Nick was born in Newark, Delaware, on March 21, 2007. He was the son of Ashley Bridget Penn and her husband, Harold R. Penn.  He was enrolled at Burlington Christian Academy and was in the 9th grade.  Nicholas was a joyful happy young man who loved riding his Jet Ski’s, driving the family boat, riding his motocross motorcycle, driving his many Traxxas electric and fuel powered remote control cars along with other outdoor pursuits. Nick also enjoyed gaming and board games with his MANY special friends.

Nicholas is survived by his parents; Ashley and Harold Penn; his sister, Ashley Lidy; his brothers, Damon and Michael Penn; his cousins, Ava and Maya Lidy and Sara Penn; his grandparent, Diane Steppi; and a very special uncle, Jude Sansone and his daughter, Sabrina.

A service to celebrate Nicholas’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Jones.  The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
