Nora "Ruth" Rouse Rimmer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nora “Ruth” Rouse Rimmer on January 20th, 2026, at the age of 48. She was surrounded by and held in love during her final moments.

Nora is survived by her beloved partner, James Yeager; her children, Candice Shearie, Hailey Rachel, and Jarrett Michael; her mother, Darlene Rouse; her sister, Melissa Compton with husband, Sam Chafin; her nephews, Jeremy Compton and Gregory Gold; her Aunt Tammy Campbell, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Wayne Rouse.

A devoted mother and cherished partner, Nora was truly a caring presence in the lives of all who knew her. Time spent with her family was what mattered above all else, and her love for those she held dear to her shaped every part of her life. She enjoyed traveling to the beach with family and treasured every moment spent together.

Nora was deeply loved and cherished by her family, and she never failed to remind them by saying, “I love you, big bunches!” Her children were always at the center of her world. She proudly cheered them on through every season, milestone, and dream—from travel ball weekends to graduation accomplishments and all the moments in between. No moment was too small when it came to her children.

Nora found joy in sewing, crafting, and dreaming up new projects. She loved gathering with family, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will now be held close by those who loved her. Nora’s love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on through the lives she shaped and the hearts she held close.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, January 30th at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory. The service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 31st, 2026, at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and family after the service at the home of her sister, Melissa Compton.
