Mrs. Noree Fuller Slade, age 83, of 2356 Park Rd. Ext., went home to be with her Lord at 4:37a.m. Thursday December 8, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, she was wife of James W. Slade who survives and daughter of the late Sylvester and Etta Harber Fuller. She was a member of Glen Raven First Baptist Church for 45 years and for the last two years was a member of New Zion Worship Center. She was employed by Seaboard Underwriters, Bankers and Shippers and later retired from Travelers Insurance Co. Mrs. Slade is survived by her husband James W. Slade of the home; daughter, Brenda J. Slade of Charlotte; 4 sons, Rick G. Slade and wife Ann of Raleigh, Troy L. Slade and wife Beverly of Burlington, Tony L. Slade of Greensboro and Mark Ray Slade and wife Katheryn of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Glen Raven First Baptist Church, 2410 W. Webb Ave. Burlington by Rev. Ronnie McLaughlin, former pastor and Rev. Joe D. Miles, III, pastor of the church. Interment will follow in Northlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service.
